As Asia’s largest and the world’s second largest lighting industry event, the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2009 (Autumn Edition) brings a record-breaking 1,788 exhibitors from 31 countries and regions, including newcomers from Brazil, Hungary, New Zealand and Poland. 
The new Hall of Aurora focuses on branded products in elegant surroundings. Also in the spotlight is the LED Lighting zone, featuring a range of suppliers specialising in new-design capabilities, longevity, power consumption reduction and colour variety in LED. Other specialist areas are Green Lighting, Household Lighting, Commercial Lighting, Outdoor Lighting, Lighting Accessories, Parts & Components, and Lighting Management, Design & Technology.
 
The show is also an important forum for exchanging technological developments and market intelligence. A series of seminars will spotlight issues such as LED lighting applications and industry standards, alternative green lighting solutions and lighting design. In addition, winning designs from the student and open groups in the third Hong Kong Lighting Design Competition are on display at Hall 1A concourse.
Starting on Wednesday, 28 October, more sourcing opportunities will be available at three concurrent shows taking place at AsiaWorld-Expo: the Hong Kong International Building and Decoration Materials & Hardware Fair; Eco Expo Asia - International Trade Fair on Environmental Protection; and Sports Source Asia. A free shuttle bus service runs between Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and AsiaWorld-Expo during the fairs.
