Green Revolution
Probably the biggest driver in the lighting industry right now is environmental awareness, in view of concerns over global warming. The lighting industry is putting a lot of resources and effort into developing energy-saving products, and Green Lighting Zone is the venue for everyone looking to source environmentally friendly lighting solutions. Don’t miss out the latest products and innovations in the sector at Hall 5C.

Trade Talk
Dr Bernhard Stapp, Vice President & Global Head of Professional Solid State Lighting, OSRAM GmbH, shared with the audience his successful experience at the seminar “Innovations and New Applications in Solid State Lighting”.

At the seminar “The Art of Lighting Design – Chemistry between Aesthetics and Green Technology”, Ronald Lo, Founder of ECOLS, Markus Helle, Publisher of Highlight Magazine and Teddy Lo, Chief Vision Officer of LED Artist Limited, give the audience their insight on the latest market trends and designs of lighting products.

Hear What Buyers Say
“Aksioma is a wholesaler specialising in outdoor lighting and we are one of the biggest companies in this category in Russia. I am keen to find innovative products in LED technology; I have been deeply impressed to find LED street lighting at this fair. From January 2011, all government departments in Russia must use energy-saving lighting, so coming here has been very useful for us. This is a magnificent exhibition – I’ve been impressed with its large scale.”
Elena Ignatenko, Sales Director, Aksioma, Russia

“I am mainly here to look for LED tubes – we are trying to promote energy-saving services in Italy especially in public facilities such as hospitals and railway stations. This fair is big with a lot of variety, so it gives me a chance to see different suppliers and to compare their services. I’ve also found some companies with AC LED technology, which is interesting for me. I also take the opportunity here to visit my regular suppliers and see their new developments.”
Massimo Ferrante, Managing Director, Oshino Lamps Italia Srl, Italy

Hear What Exhibitors Say
“The main goal for us at this fair is to reach out to buyers and to gain good exposure. Our presence here is very important. We are presenting our luminaire products, designed for all areas of the home, including bathrooms and kids’ rooms, as well as LED colour mood lighting and energy-efficient lighting. We’ve been attracting a lot of attention from buyers who mainly associate Philips with lamps, rather than luminaires, and we’ve been very busy.”
Ian Wong, Marketing Service Manager, Philips Consumer Luminaires Export, Belgium

“This is the biggest lighting show in Asia – if you want to show off the latest products then this is the best choice. We are presenting our new LED components for a range of applications including the home, street lighting, autos and commercial. Response from customers has been very positive. Here we can meet customers from all over the world, including Europe, China, Korea and Japan. We can share with them our latest developments, find out about new trends and engage in dialogue with them and hear what they are interested in. We can collect market intelligence here.”
Louis Lam, Vice President, APAC Sales, OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Asia Limited, Hong Kong

“We are a new company and we focus on high-efficiency lighting products, including LED table and desk lamps. This fair is very popular but it is also very professional so we can meet quality buyers here; this is especially true for the Hall of Aurora, which reflects the image of our products. The response from buyers has been good – we’ve had a lot of interest from European and American visitors, which fits our target perfectly.”
Jeff Tsai, Associate Vice President, Sales Division, Darfon Lighting Corp, Taiwan
