The debut HKTDC Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo opened yesterday at the AsiaWorld-Expo. Together with the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) which opens today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the two fairs form the world's leading lighting marketplace.
This year, the Autumn Lighting Fair welcomes a record-breaking number of more than 2,650 exhibiting companies from 37 countries and regions to display the latest technology, creative concepts and product lines. Companies from Canada, Hungary, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates are joining the fair for the first time.

| Last year, HKTDC organised the first World of Outdoor Lighting & Lighting Accessories, which the industry embraced with strong support. Its success testified to the strong market demand for outdoor lighting infrastructure. This year, HKTDC staged the new Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, expanding the scale to showcase exhibits of Outdoor Lighting, Lighting Accessories, Parts & Components, Professional and Industrial Lighting, as well as Advertising Lighting. This exciting new fair has drawn 380 exhibitors from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan. |

 “As a trading agent and distributor in the African and Middle East markets, we are looking for both indoor and outdoor lighting products and solutions which can be found at Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo. Streetlights are on our list, as there are many highway construction projects underway in the Middle East. In the preparation for the 2020 Expo, there will be more than several hundred of billion dollars (US) worth of construction projects ongoing in the next four years. 14,000 units of residential apartments are in progress to accommodate 25 million visitors. Besides, there is one smart city in Dubai which sets an example of the sustainable city. This means more smart cities are up and coming, driving the demand on outdoor lighting.”

Since LED products are among the future trends, we include both indoor and outdoor LED lighting products in our merchandise mix. I visited the World of Outdoor Lighting & Lighting Accessories last year and come back to the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo this year which is bigger in size with a wider spectrum of outdoor lighting. I am glad to see different types of street lights and flood lights at the fairground. The event is a platform for me to find new models and shapes, especially the flood lights which are very useful in the outdoor spaces outside houses, garages and shops. 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia has fueled the demand on outdoor lighting for stadiums.”
