“Ledsfactory is an importer and manufacturer of indoor LED lighting products in Spain. This is my third time attending the Autumn Lighting Fair to meet with existing business partners and to look for new suppliers of lighting components and finished products. It is a great show because there is a good concentration of quality manufacturers, creating a lot of business opportunities. I have found three to four new suppliers of LED fixtures such as door lights and shop lights, and further discussions will be conducted before concluding the deals. I am going to place small orders with my existing suppliers at the fair. We usually confirm large orders after the fair. In Spain, smart lighting is getting popular especially for exhibition centres, shops and restaurants as it helps to save money on electricity bills and creates different lighting effects easily.
Albert Rodriguez, Marketing Manager, Ledsfactory, Spain |
“Based in Romania, our company is an importer and distributor of LED lighting products for outdoor, indoor and industrial applications. This is my third time visiting the Autumn Lighting Fair. It is important for me to come here to see what’s new in the lighting industry. More importantly, the fair provides an effective sourcing platform for me to buy LED lighting products. So far, I have found three potential suppliers of LED bulbs and indoor lighting products from the Chinese mainland. I’ll definitely visit this fair again and also the Spring Lighting Fair in April next year.”
Muresan Cosmin, Owner, I&D World Technology SRL, Romania |
“We are a long-term supporter of the Autumn Lighting Fair. At this year’s fair, we are showcasing our latest LED innovations such as INGENIUM® Smart Lighting family – INGENIUM® BLU and INGENIUM®ZB, new LED light sources for enhanced colour applications such as the Dim to Warm range and a series of Ra90 products with higher colour rendering in different real-life settings to provide an immersive experience for buyers. It has been a good show with a heavy traffic of visitors. We have met with more than 200 buyers from all over the world on the first day of the fair. Buyers are keen to use our smart devices to experience the effects of our Smart Lighting family. We have found potential distributors from Argentina, Mexico, the Middle East and Russia. We’ll have further negotiations with them in order to establish long-term business relationships.”
Matthew Chu, General Manager, Neonlite Electronic & Lighting (HK) Limited, Hong Kong |
“Founded in late 1960s, our company offers a full range of decorative lighting products which are all designed in Italy. Our products are being sold in 80 countries and regions. In the past, we came here as visitors. As the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) is becoming a popular trade fair for the lighting industry, we think we should have our presence at the fair in a bid to find more distributors and buyers in this region. That’s why we have joined the Hong Kong fair for the first time. We have talked to potential distributors and buyers from different countries and regions such as Australia, Hong Kong and Japan. We hope to have a bigger booth next year so that we can show more products to potential buyers and create a greater impact.”
Stefano Strano, Head of Sales Department, IDEAL LUX SRL, Italy |

Joint Networking Reception |

A joint networking reception for World of Outdoor Lighting & Lighting Accessories and Hong Kong International Building and Hardware Fair was held to close the opening day in a relaxing way. |
"We are a manufacturer of floodlights and the market demand of this category has been huge in Thailand, Japan and the US. Engineering companies and online retailers at eBay and Amazon are part of our clientele. Last year, we have participated in the HKTDC Hong Kong International Building and Hardware Fair to explore the construction market and this year we join the first edition of the World of Outdoor Lighting & Lighting Accessories (WOOLLA) under the same roof with the concurrent Building Fair to see if we can capture more prospects from different sectors. Outdoor lighting is among the big segments in the lighting sector. We welcome a highly focused exhibition for our industry, and the WOOLLA provides more opportunities for new exhibitors like us. On the first morning of the show, buyers from Switzerland, New Zealand and India have come to make enquiries. The Indian buyer who runs the motel business and convenient stores is particularly interested in the sensor floodlight which is able to detect light intensity. Our existing clients also visit us to see our new products and they would like to do sourcing in both lighting fairs."
Lori Zhang, Sales Representative, WoQinFeng (Hong Kong) Industrial Co., Ltd., Hong Kong

“This is our first time to join the exhibition in Hong Kong. Being Taiwan’s first company to get international certification of explosion-proof LED lighting from North America, Europe and China, we come here to explore market opportunities from special clients. Lots of buyers have come on the first day of the World of Outdoor Lighting & Lighting Accessories. As we offer lighting products for shale oil-powered equipment, some visitors from France and Saudi Arabia come to our booth early this morning to take a glance on our product line. They are working for the oil companies and would like to seek some explosion-proof lighting products for their gas stations or for underwater oil drilling. I’m glad to see our products be featured in the media conference run by the organiser. As shown in our booth, they are highly resistance to steam and water pressure and are designed for niche market from different sectors, such as aviation, petroleum, petrochemicals, power station and wine making. The lighting sector covers a wide range of categories, so it is good to see more specialized lighting fairs for different categories.”
Peter Chan, General Manager, Top Hi-Tech Co. Ltd., Taiwan |
"We are a supplier of outdoor lighting products in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the U.A. E. Having been to the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair over last 10 years, we are glad to visit the first-ever World of Outdoor Lighting & Lighting Accessories which houses more additional exhibitors for outdoor lighting. Products of street lighting, airport lighting and lighting for industrial and commercial use are on our radar. This year, we have noticed around 10% new exciting LED products of higher wattage. The demand for outdoor lighting in the Middle East has been strong, as there are many construction projects in progress, from the building of shopping malls, hospitals, public parks to roads. The recovery of Post-war Iraq and the upcoming World Expo 2020 in Dubai may be the further stimuli to the segment of outdoor lighting."
Mohamed Fayaz, Managing Director & CEO, Garden Lights L.L.C., United Arab Emirates

"We come to see home lighting in the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair and outdoor lighting for factories in the World of Outdoor Lighting & Lighting Accessories. Two exhibitions together offer a wider range of products for us to choose. I joined some business matching sessions arranged by the HKTDC at the Autumn Lighting Fair yesterday and one Indian exhibitor turned out to be the right partner for us. We are going to set up a joint venture after the show. The new liberal policies of Narendra Modi, the current Prime Minister of India, have been favourable to our business climate, and they draw more overseas investment to the country. He also encourages “Made in India” and it is expected more factories will be set up in the upcoming years. So, this may drive the demand for outdoor lighting for factories."
